    • The 2007-2013 rural development regulation stipulates the implementation, at European level and in each member State, of a network bringing together the different stakeholders involved in rural development.

In France, the national network is jointly steered by the ministry of agriculture and fisheries and the DATAR. The presidents of the Regional Councils and the Regional Prefects are responsible for implementing this network on a regional scale.

The actions of the network are co-financed by the European agricultural Fund for rural development (EAFRD).
